Suction cup recovery help

Information on suction cup used for recovery

The tendons are not well irrigated by blood, which makes their regeneration difficult and long. Indeed the blood, and more particularly the platelets, allow rapid healing of the injured tissues thanks to the action of several proteins. This property is used in medicine under the term of PRP (Plasma Rich in Platelets) which consists in taking your blood, centrifuging it to keep only the platelets and injecting it at the place to be treated. This process is expensive and requires a medical procedure.

This ability of blood repair can be used with a simple suction cup applied to the painful area or the area to be treated. The action of the suction cup will attract blood under the skin and allow the platelets to act locally.

My experience with suction cup

Suffering from Achilles tendonopathy for 2 years, I managed to heal in just a few months by applying a suction cup on the tendon for 20 minutes in the morning and in the evening. I did not stop the physical activity during this time, I think the cure would have been faster with a stop of sports activity.

I do not consider myself completely healed yet because the tendon is still a little painful when touching it but I run without pain and I was able to prepare for the Montauban marathon without any problem with sometimes doing more than 100km per week and about 350 km per month during preparation.

You will find this kind of suction cup almost everywhere on the internet (an example here)

Tips

You can use any natural fat. For my part, I tried with olive oil, almond oil but I recommend shea butter which allows a very good adhesion of the suction cup.
