Discovery of most places and monuments of interest in Toulouse

It's an urban route, you will have to be careful all along because you will cross many busy roads.
This route offers a loop discovery of most places of interest in Toulouse in only 5km.
The starting point chosen is the emblem of Toulouse with its Place du Capitole, but since this route is a loop, you can start from wherever you want.

  • From Place du Capitole start towards Place Wilson.
  • In the Garden behind the Capitole admire the building which now houses the Tourist Office.
    Continue toward Wilson square. Take the opposite street, then cross the boulevard to continue on colombette street.
    Take the 2nd street on the right to go to Saint-Aubin square.
  • On this square stands the Saint-Aubin church, go around the square and turn left towards Place Dupuy.
  • At Place Dupuy, you can see the Halle aux grains on your left.
  • Take the direction of Metz street and after crossing the road, turn left towards Saint-Etienne Cathedral.
    Continue on Croix-Baragnon street.
  • At the corner with Arts street, you can see a half-timbered house from the 16th century. Take a right in the narrow Arts street.
  • Opposite, you can admire the imposing Augustins museum. Take a left towards Esquirol.
  • At the Esquirol metro station, turn right towards Saint-Rome street where you can admire another half-timbered house.
    Turn left towards Daurade square.
  • You are now at the Daurade quay with its small garden, and on the other side of the Garonne river you can see the old Grave hospital.
  • Follow the Garonne river, you will have a beautiful view of the old Grave hospital and the Saint-Pierre bridge.
  • Then join the famous Saint-Pierre square, the Mecca of festive activity in Toulouse.
  • Take a right through the shaded gardens to reach the University garden.
    Join Valade street, turn left and continue straight through the streets to Saint-Sernin square.
  • Go around the square to admire the Saint-Sernin Basilica before entering Taur street.
  • You are almost there, at the end of the street you will reach your starting point, Capitole square.
